What’s it take to install a Glass Sentry? Installation is quick and simple. It takes 2 hours to install the units, you’ll start saving energy immediately, and you’ll certainly notice the savings on your first electric bill. Installation can be done while the store is open without any inconvenience to your customers. Call us and we’ll email you a complete set of installation instructions so you’ll know exactly how the Glass Sentry is installed, how it works, and how you save an average of $1,000/year in each store! Why is Glass Sentry a better answer? It’s simply a more affordable energy saver. Don’t get suckered into packages that cost thousands of dollars. With Glass Sentry, a single $600 investment per store pays for itself in 7 months and yields $1,000 in savings every year! The Glass Sentry is designed specifically to retrofit into existing C-store coolers and because it’s rated for 30A, one Glass Sentry can be used where competitors need multiple units. Bottom line is, Glass Sentry is economical enough to be used in regions of the country where other anti-sweats can’t pay for themselves. How do I know Glass Sentry will work for me? We’ll prove it! We’ll install a Glass Sentry unit along with a datalogger free of charge and monitor the savings. We’ll provide you with daily, weekly, and monthly real time savings charts so you can see just how much energy you’re saving in each test store. Then you can easily extrapolate the savings for an entire region and quickly determine how much your corporation can save for all your stores. How does the payback compare to other energy saving options? Glass Sentry will have an ROI of about 7 months. $600 will cover the anti-sweat controller and installation. Compare that with LED lights that have an upfront cost of over $3,000 and an ROI of over 36 months and you’ll see a huge difference. Not only is it a more affordable option, but the payback is tremendous! Call us and we’ll openly discuss your options and provide you with a cost comparison on nine different energy saving comparisons. How do I determine what rebates are available in my region? Call us and we’ll help you determine the programs available from various utility companies throughout the United States. Generally speaking, the rebates range from $20-$30/linear foot of door space or up to 75% of the installation costs. Even without any rebates, the Glass Sentry will have an ROI of about 7 months. $600 will cover the anti-sweat controller and installation, but with rebates like that, your ROI can be close to 3 months rather than 7 months! Call us and we can walk you through the details. Explain to me again just how Glass Sentry works? Coolers are built with heaters in the door frames. These heaters run 24/7/365. They prevent fogging and condensation from forming on the doors. When energy costs weren’t a consideration, this wasn’t a problem, but now that energy is a priority we’ve realized that the heaters only need to run about 30% of the time. The key is to determine when it’s necessary for the heaters to run and when it is not. The Glass Sentry uses constant samplings from two temperature sensors and a humidity sensor to calculate the dew point (the point where condensation forms) and turn on the heaters only when it’s necessary to keep the door frames above the dew point.
