How much does it cost me to run my cooler now & how much can Glass Sentry save me?
The easiest way to find out is to look at the chart we've established. We installed anti-sweat units in ten different geographic locations throughout the United States and developed a representative chart. The coolers we used were all 10 door set-ups with 30"x79" doors. Calculations are based on a typical cooler temperature of 38 degrees assuming a 40% refrigeration load factor. Savings were calculated using non-heated glass systems pulling 10.5 amps. Savings for the heated glass systems were extrapolated from the non-heated glass readings. Estimated payback was based on a cost of $600 for the Glass Sentry installed.
When a Glass Sentry was installed, the ten stores saved from $854-$1,362 per year.
